Deutsch Lernen ("the App", "we", "us") is a German-language learning app for iOS. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

The App integrates the following third-party SDKs and services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
Your account data (word lists, progress) is retained in Firestore for as long as your account exists. Analytics and crash data are retained per Google's standard Firebase retention policies (up to 14 months for Analytics events).
If you delete your account, your Firestore data is deleted within 30 days. Analytics and crash data associated with your installation ID may be retained in aggregated or anonymised form.
All data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Firestore data is encrypted at rest by Google. Access to your Firestore documents is restricted by Firebase Security Rules to your authenticated user ID only.

The App is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the European Economic Area). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
